Who We Are

Based in the heart of Waltham Forest’s diverse and evolving community, the Active Change Foundation is a team of volunteers who work at grassroots level with young people in order to empower them to make positive life choices. This work is carried out by using both cultural and faith based understanding to address issues such as disengagement, lack of opportunity, anti-social behaviour and violence in all its forms. ACF works with young people to bring about change that can benefit them and the wider community. 

Through a dedicated team of volunteers the cultural, social and political barriers that prevent young people from achieving are challenged in a constructive manner in order to affect change at grassroots level and policy formation level. This work includes tackling very difficult issues within communities such as gun, knife and gang crime as well as violent extremism.
